Texas suppliers that build parts, write software, or provide services for defense programs are expected to safeguard Federal Contract Information and CUI now. We find where that information lives, close the gaps, and prepare the documentation primes and assessors expect.
CMMC requirements keep changing, so we maintain one current summary, Where CMMC Stands Today, on our CMMC Compliance page. For the basics, read What Is CMMC Certification.
North Texas is home to aircraft, rotorcraft, and defense electronics programs, and the Dallas and Fort Worth area supports a deep network of suppliers: machine shops, composites and avionics specialists, engineering firms, software developers, and logistics providers. Defense and space work also reaches San Antonio, Houston, and Austin.
Our Texas office is at 1001 W Euless Blvd in Euless, central to suppliers in Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, and Dallas. We support Houston and Austin area companies remotely and provide on-site support for larger projects.
Shared engineering logins on shop-floor computers, controlled drawings sent as email attachments, and no clear record of who can reach CUI. These are common starting points, and each one can be fixed before an assessment.
The clauses in your contract or purchase order set the level you need.
For companies that handle only Federal Contract Information. It covers the 15 safeguarding requirements in FAR 52.204-21, with a yearly self-assessment and affirmation.
For companies that receive or create CUI, such as controlled drawings, specifications, or test data. It follows the 110 requirements of NIST SP 800-171.
For programs with the most sensitive CUI. It adds selected NIST SP 800-172 requirements on top of Level 2 and is assessed by the government.
From first scoping to assessment day.
We measure your environment against every NIST SP 800-171 requirement, calculate your SPRS score, and order the fixes by risk and cost.
We map how controlled data arrives and moves, then compare a separate enclave with a company-wide approach. The scoping worksheet is a good place to begin.
A System Security Plan written around the systems you actually use, plus a Plan of Action and Milestones for remaining items.
Multifactor sign-in, encryption, logging, endpoint protection, and backup, deployed and managed by our team.
Policies that reflect daily operations, plus security awareness training with completion records.
Evidence organized by requirement and coordination with an independent C3PAO when you are ready.
We go over your contracts, the data primes send you, and your current systems, then give you a summary of risks and next steps.
We set the scope, recommend an enclave or whole-company approach, and quote the work as a project or within a managed IT plan.
We fix the gaps, write the SSP and POA&M, organize evidence, and support you through annual affirmations and assessment.
Requests are prioritized by business impact and measured in business hours.
| Priority | First response | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | 1 hour | Server down, office cannot work, suspected breach |
| High | 2 hours | Email or internet down for a user or team |
| Medium | 4 hours | Printer down, but a workaround exists |
| Low | 8 hours | New user setup, scheduled changes |

We prepare you, and an independent C3PAO assesses you, so the result stands on its own.
The same team runs your IT and builds your controls, so the paperwork matches the systems.
Our Euless office sits between Dallas and Fort Worth, close to the region’s supplier base.
Houston and Austin area suppliers are supported remotely, with on-site support for larger projects.
Yes. Contracts that include DFARS 252.204-7012 still require NIST SP 800-171 for CUI, and companies handling Federal Contract Information still have basic safeguarding duties. CMMC rollout details continue to change, so see Where CMMC Stands Today on our CMMC Compliance page for the current picture.
It can. Requirements flow down through subcontracts and purchase orders. If you receive FCI or CUI from a customer, the matching CMMC level usually applies to you as well.
Often, yes. A well-designed enclave keeps CUI on a small set of systems and users, which reduces the scope an assessor reviews and the cost of protecting it.
No. Certification comes from an independent C3PAO or, for Level 3, a government assessment. We prepare you and coordinate with the assessor.
Yes. Our Texas office is in Euless. We support Houston and Austin area companies remotely and provide on-site support for larger projects.
Readiness projects are quoted after the discovery call and review, based on scope. For ongoing managed IT and security, on average, clients invest about $100 per user per month, with a 10-user minimum. Pricing is per user and per device, month to month for smaller teams, and annual with a 90-day out for larger organizations.
The relevant contract clauses, a list of the systems and people that handle customer data, and time for a discovery call. The CUI scoping worksheet helps you gather most of it.
Do you know exactly where CUI lives in your business? This BlueKey IT worksheet guides you through your contract clauses, how CUI moves through your company, which CMMC asset category each system belongs to, and the smallest boundary you can defend. It is a planning tool, not legal advice, a CMMC assessment, or a certification.
Prefer to talk it through? Schedule a discovery call and we will review your contracts and security controls, then lay out a clear plan.
